For decades male health has lagged behind throughout the world. Not only do males live fewer years than their female counterparts (approx. 5.2 years in the U.S.), but often experience poorer quality of life in those years. These issues have severe consequences ranging from the individual level to the community and economy and beyond. Understanding how male health can be strengthened by adopting a "lifespan" perspective is a chief goal of this book. (CDC, 2011, World Bank, 2013)

"...Concepts in Male Health: Perspectives Across the Lifespan, successfully attempts to provide a comprehensive text for higher education courses aimed at informing health professionals of the issues experienced by men and boys through their lifespan."

"Leone’s approach is more horizontal where the words read like our father or friends are speaking to us instead of some distant, faceless academician."
